This Privacy Policy explains what information BlockSide collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. BlockSide provides a booking, deposit, and waitlist tool for solo bodywork practitioners and their clients. By using BlockSide you agree to this policy.
Who we are
BlockSide is operated by BlockSide LLC, a Washington limited liability company. You can reach us at support@blockside.app with any privacy question or request.
What we collect
- Your email address. Your email is your login on BlockSide — it is how practitioners and clients sign in. We use it to send you one-time sign-in codes, booking confirmations, and (if you leave them on) appointment messages.
- Your phone number, if you add one. A mobile number is optional. If you add and verify one, we use it as the contact for a booking and — only if you opt in — to text you reminders, confirmations, and waitlist offers. You never need a phone number to use BlockSide.
- Your name, when you provide it, for your account and booking confirmations.
- Booking and payment records — the appointments you book or offer, and the charges associated with them. Card details are collected and processed by Stripe; BlockSide never stores your full card number.
- Consent records. When you agree to a practitioner's cancellation policy, we store the exact policy text you agreed to, along with a timestamp, so the agreement is accurate later.
- Basic technical data such as your IP address, used to keep the service secure and to prevent abuse (for example, rate-limiting login-code requests).
BlockSide does not collect health information, intake forms, or clinical notes. That is deliberately out of scope.
How we use your information
- To send one-time codes by email so you can sign in and book.
- To send appointment reminders, booking confirmations, waitlist offers, and receipts related to your bookings.
- To process payments (via Stripe) and to apply a practitioner's cancellation policy.
- To operate, secure, and improve the service.
SMS opt-in data.
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
If you add a phone number and opt in to texts, it is used only to deliver the appointment messages described above — never required to sign in or book. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of messages at any time, or HELP for help.
Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers that make BlockSide work, and only as needed:
- Stripe — to process card payments and payouts.
- Twilio — to deliver SMS messages such as your login code.
- Infrastructure providers that host the application and database.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party marketing.
Your choices
- SMS: reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts; reply HELP for help.
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information by emailing support@blockside.app.
Data retention & security
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it, including encryption in transit and hashing of one-time codes.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
